About Pocket Pins

Pocket Pins is a set of six authored JoyArc Quick Play puzzles. Pull lettered gold pins to route balls from the upper rooms through the mixing bowl and into a bucket. The objective is to collect every ball after it has become colored, without allowing lava into the bucket.

Gray balls change color only when they touch a colored ball in the same settled chamber. Opening the collection gate too early can send a gray ball into the bucket and fail the puzzle. Pin pulls trigger animated transfers, and another pin cannot be pulled until the current pour has settled.

The six layouts introduce a simple collection gate, gray-ball mixing, a sealed lava room, reversed mixing order, a two-room mixing task and a final side drain. In the last puzzle, lava can stay sealed or be routed to the safe drain by opening its side exit before its bottom pin. Not every available pin should be pulled.

The shared player uses English by default and offers a Chinese language toggle. It remembers solved puzzle numbers and the current puzzle selection in this browser, not the live ball positions or removed pins. After puzzle six, the completion button replays the collection from puzzle one. Saving is local only, with no cloud synchronization.

Key Features & Highlights

Exactly six authored puzzles

The collection has a fixed beginning and end. Completing the sixth puzzle offers a replay rather than generating a seventh layout.

Contact-based color mixing

Gray balls must touch colored balls in the same chamber before collection; simply pulling a pin does not color all balls automatically.

Lava isolation and a side drain

Keep lava out of the bucket. The final layout adds a safe drain, where opening order determines the lava's route.

Handle and button controls

Tap the gold handles or use the corresponding lettered pin buttons below the canvas. Available controls wait for each transfer to settle.

Local solved-puzzle record

Quick Play tracks which of the six puzzles were solved locally. Reloading begins the selected puzzle again, not a partially completed pour.

How to Play - Rules & Objectives

  1. 1Select Pocket Pins and read the hint for the current layout. Identify the colored balls, any gray balls and the lava before opening a gate.
  2. 2Click a gold pin handle or its matching lettered button below the canvas to remove that pin.
  3. 3Wait for the pin animation and moving balls to settle. The next pin becomes available only after the pour completes.
  4. 4Where gray balls appear, route them into contact with colored balls before pulling C, the bottom collection pin.
  5. 5Leave lava sealed when possible. In puzzle six, the optional safe-drain route requires D to be opened before B so lava exits sideways instead of entering the mixing bowl.
  6. 6Collect every ball while it is colored and keep the bucket lava-free. Continue through all six puzzles, retry a failed layout, or replay the collection after the final puzzle.

Pro Tips & High-Score Strategies

  • Watch the balls themselves, not just the hint: confirm that no gray ball remains before opening the bucket gate.
  • A pin is a choice, not a checklist item. On the lava-isolation puzzle, leaving the right-room pin in place is the safe plan.
  • Puzzle four reverses the earlier color arrangement: the colored balls start downstairs, so send the upper gray balls to meet them first.
  • For the last puzzle's optional drain solution, opening the lava bottom pin before the side drain is not equivalent to opening the drain first. Routes use the first opened exit from that room.
